Down-to-earth techniques. Compassionate support. Real results.
"Betsy's approach is firm and authoritative and her style is totally engaging. I am grateful to Betsy for giving us the concrete tools we needed to get closer to being the kind of parents we want to be." Dianne Rosky
What is Positive Parent Coaching? - An upbeat, customized approach to family behavioral challenges including tantrums, bedtime and mealtime issues, not listening, bullying, sibling discord, etc.
- Easy-to-implement, practical techniques to minimize unwanted behavior and boost self-esteem and family closeness
- Non-judgmental support during difficult times
- A convenient, effective, and results-oriented way to be the parents you want to be
- Instead of "why?", coaching asks "how?" Unlike therapy which often delves into past behavior and experiences, coaching is a present-focused partnership in which we work together to achieve the goals important to you.
How does Positive Parent Coaching work? - Initial meeting: We'll discuss the current situation and work together to create an action plan. We'll also have a brief coaching orientation (policy, forms, fees, etc.) and schedule subsequent meetings.
- Between meetings, "check up" telephone conversations and emails provide support and keep everyone on the same page.
- Subsequent meetings (in-person and/or telephone) monitor progress, tweak the original plan if necessary, and continue the success!
Betsy is also available to lead workshops and speak on a variety of topics, including: - Positive discipline
- Mealtime and food
- Bedtime and sleep
- Homework: organization, focus, parental support
- and more
